What if there are no opportunities in my area?
Where to look if you can't find any opportunities that suit you on the GoVo platform or want to speak to someone face-to-face.
If you can’t currently find a volunteering opportunity to suit you on GoVo then why not contact your local Volunteer Centre / Infrastructure organisation who can provide one-to-one tailored support to find an opportunity to suit you.
England:
- NAVCA (National Association for Voluntary and Community Action) are the national membership body for local infrastructure organisations (LIO’s), many of who support people to volunteer. Search for your local NAVCA member: NAVCA | Find your local NAVCA member
- NCVO (National Council of Voluntary Organisations) is the membership organisation for charities, social enterprises and community groups in England. NCVO | NCVO.

Scotland:
- The are 32 TSI’s (Third Sector Interfaces) across Scotland that provide support to people to volunteer in their local area. Search your nearest TSI member organisation: TSI Directory - TSI Scotland Network’
- Volunteer Scotland’s mission is “to create a Scotland where everyone can volunteer, more often, and throughout their lives.” Search their database of opportunities: Find volunteering opportunities - Volunteer Scotland
- SCVO (Scottish Council for Voluntary Organisations) is the national membership organisation for the voluntary sector in Scotland. Scottish Council for Voluntary Organisations
Wales:
- TSSW (Third Sector Support Wales) is a network of 19 CVCs (County Voluntary Councils) across Wales + WCVA (see below) who provide volunteering support to their local communities. Search for your local CVC: https://thirdsectorsupport.wales/
