Quick Start Guide to GoVo

Step-by-step guidance on how to login and set-up your GoVo account as an employee

 

1. Log in to GoVo

Go to govo.org.uk, click ‘sign in’ and then the ‘use single sign-on’ button.

Once your organisation’s single sign-on (SSO) is set up, you can log in using your usual company credentials.

No separate password or registration is required.


 

2. Explore your dashboard

When you first log in, take a moment to look around your GoVo dashboard.

You’ll see:

  • Your organisation’s volunteering policy or guidance notes

  • A summary of opportunities available to you

  • Your personal volunteering record once you begin applying

 


 

3. Find opportunities

Use the search filters to find volunteering roles that fit your interests, skills and availability.

You can browse both local and remote opportunities. 

If you're struggling to find what you need - make sure you use the keyword search. You can do that when you click on search opportunities at the top of the page.

New roles are added daily, so check back regularly to see what’s new. 

 


 

4. Complete ID verification (if required)

Some opportunities may need an ID check before you can apply.

You’ll be guided through this process automatically using Yoti, GoVo’s secure identity partner.

 


 

5. Apply for roles

Once you find a role you’re interested in:

 

  1. Click Apply on the opportunity card.

  2. Review any details or requirements from the charity.

  3. Submit your application — the charity will contact you directly with next steps.

 

You can track your applications from your dashboard at any time.
