How volunteers apply for your opportunities
What happens when someone applies through GoVo
When a volunteer clicks Apply on your opportunity, their application is sent directly to you.
Here’s how it works:

Volunteer applies

They search and select your role.

They click Apply and complete any required steps (such as Yoti ID verification).

Application delivery

If you included an application method (such as a web link or email address) when you uploaded your role, the application will be sent that way.

If you didn’t include a method, applications will automatically be sent to your organisation’s administrator email.

Managing applications

If applications come to you by email, you’ll need to accept or decline the volunteer directly via that email.

If you provided a URL / weblink as your application method, volunteers will apply through that system or form. You’ll still need to contact them directly to confirm the outcome. Volunteers will see their application in their GoVo dashboard, but they won’t get an update unless you contact them.
