GoVo Accessibility
At GoVo, we want everyone to be able to volunteer online, easily and confidently. Accessibility has always been a key part of how we design our platform.
We are working to meet WCAG 2.2 AA standards and are committed to ongoing improvements. A recent RNIB audit highlighted areas where we can do better, and we’re acting on these recommendations with guidance from accessibility experts.
Some of the features already in place include:
- Recite Me for screen reading, translation, and display options.
- Compatibility testing with tools like JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver, and TalkBack.
- Volunteer profiles that let you share access needs with charities.
- An internal audit tool to track progress and make sure improvements happen.
We are prioritising fixes that make the biggest difference, like improving navigation for screen readers, clearer forms, and better guidance during onboarding.
Accessibility is an ongoing journey, and we will continue to test changes with users and experts to make GoVo as inclusive as possible. We encourage feedback from everyone—your experience helps us improve.
A full updated accessibility statement will be published once the current round of improvements is complete.
