How to find an organisation's ID

Each organisation in your relationships list has a unique GoVo identifier. You’ll need this to upload opportunities on its behalf.

Step 1: Open your relationships list

From your dashboard, select Organisation relationships.

Step 2: Find the organisation

Locate the organisation in the list. You can use the search box to help find the record you need.

Step 3: Copy the Organisation ID

Find the Organisation ID column and use the copy icon beside the value. Copy the full value, rather than typing it manually.

Step 4: Add it to your opportunity spreadsheet

Paste the copied value into Source Organisation on each opportunity row that belongs to that organisation.

Which ID should I use?

Organisation ID identifies the organisation hosting the opportunity. It is the value you copy into Source Organisation.

Charity ID in the opportunity spreadsheet is your own reference for an individual opportunity. It is a separate field and is not the organisation’s registration number.

Platform ID identifies an opportunity in GoVo. GoVo assigns this when an opportunity is uploaded; do not enter a value for a new opportunity.

If you cannot find the organisation in your list check that its relationship was successfully created. If its row was skipped or failed during the organisation upload, review that result before trying to upload an opportunity for it.
